Financial Secretary Gerald Krawczynski recently delivered two $500 checks to McAuley Center Site Manager Amanda Maness.  One check will provide approximately 84 meals in the Meals on Wheels program, which the knights also support by doing deliveries.  The other check will be used for programming activities at the McAuley Center located at 5010 Hwy 7N.

The St Joseph Mercy Health Center contracts with the Area Agency on Aging of West Central Arkansas to provide and administer two senior centers in Garland county - one near the Village and the other at 210 Woodbine St in Hot Springs.  Both centers are open 8:00am - 3:00pm Monday thru Friday to serve individuals ages 60 and over.  Membership is free as are the hot meals served 11:30am - 12:30pm.  However, donations are accepted.

The Meals on Wheels program provides home bound seniors with nutritious meals, allowing them to stay in their homes.  Drivers currently cover 253 miles a day to serve Garland County.  To date, 2.5 million meals have been delivered to over 2,000 elderly.
